Dumgoyne - 427m
Friday 22nd April 2011

Weather/Conditions: Spring weather - warm, sunny, very hazy with a lot of wind on the top. Very dry with little recent rain.
Distance/Ascent/Time: 4.3km / 450m / 2h 50m
Accompanying: Steve, Pete, Phil and Holly

One of my cousins was to get married this weekend, and a lot of my family were coming up from England. My cousins Phil and Holly arrived Friday afternoon, and before they'd spent long at my house, Steve and I were already looking to see if they wanted to go up a hill. Just a wee one, of course...?!

So we drove out to Glengoyne Distillery and headed onto the hill. Steve's pal Pete came along. The weather was nice, it was a great evening, but haze obscured many distant views. The wind kicked up big-style on top and we sat and had a barbeque while being blasted by the wind.

Descent turned into a great bum-slide down the lower grassy slopes, which Steve and I did over and over - it's no surprise I had a hot backside the next day. ;-)
