Stob Dearg (Buachaille Etive Mor) - 1022m
Saturday 28th September 2013

Weather/Conditions: Very nice weather, and a gentle haze giving the light a quality. Good for scrambling.
Distance/Ascent/Time: 6km / 800m / 5h 15m
Accompanying: Hunners of people!!!

First hill back! It was Fi and Scoob's final Munro and as thus a great party had amassed at Alltnafeadh to see them to the top. It was a good weather day, (mostly) clear skies and dry rock which was more than could be said for my compleations... this would be my fourth compleation hill (including mine!) in the last couple of months.

It was a big party and we all headed off up Curved Ridge. What a way to finish your last Munro! The scrambling was good, the chat was good, I guess unsurprisingly a lot of chat about my recent round. I can't recall whether I did the Tower (no doubt though) then we all went up to the summit where a certain proposal was made (and accepted!). Happy days for all involved.

My main feeling was really enjoying being back on these hills. Back in the Highlands again... Descent was via. Coire na Tulaich, then down to the Clachaig for a celebratory drink. Many folk were staying on, but I left early for the southward drive - and a quick nip up Glas Bheinn, too.
