Dumgoyne - 427m
Sunday 20th April 2014

Weather/Conditions: Mega-sunny day, warm, still. Bit hazy for most distant views, but snow spattered Highland hills showing through. Very nice!
Distance/Ascent/Time: 5.4km / 520m / 2h 50m
Accompanying: Tonnes of folk - primarily along with Steve and Jen

Another trip up Dumgoyne! This was with a whole pile of folk, most notably Steve and Jen but also Dougal who'd organised it. His plan was to go to Earl's Seat and I was just along for the ride, the chat, and the fact it was a very nice sunny day. Steve, Jen and I didn't have so long, we had a family get-together to be back for. But we'd do what we could.

We all headed up from the distillery, bypassing Dumgoyne. On the way I broke free, wanting to move quicker, and nipped up to the summit of Dumgoyne, running back down past the scree chute, panting and glad to have done so. I knew there would be no Earl's Seat for the three of us - I might as well get a summit of some sort done!

Everyone eventually took a break up below the top of Garloch Hill, where we had some lunch. But for the three of us, it was time to turn around, and we headed home instead in time to see the family all around for Easter.
