A race up Slackdhu! This was significant for being one time in a long period I've been to the top of Slackdhu, very much the 'home hill' if ever there was one. On a rush of a blood to the head, I began to jog as I left the war memorial, and didn't stop until I'd reached the top of the track below the landslide debris. I'd had to push through some walls to make that happen. From there, I would walk. I headed up the left of the landslide 'amphitheatre', getting tangled in bracken and direct to the summit, reaching the top in 37 minutes. Then I ran down 22 minutes, to beat the hour by one minute. Sometimes you just gotta do that...
