Mount Keen - 939m
Sunday 31st August 2014

Weather/Conditions: Very good weather all day
Distance/Ascent/Time: 17.6km / 700m / 5h 10m
Accompanying: Michael Kerrigan

I had a page on this day before I revamped the website, only to discover the old page which held the information somehow got corrupted - so lost some of the information, primarily text. Annoying.

Michael Kerrigan and I headed to Mount Keen on his suggestion - it had been a while since we'd been walking together, and Mount Keen was also on my to-do list to finish the second Munro Round.

We started from the south just like the first time I was here, but instead of biking in we walked. Taken as a whole day, it really dragged things out! It also made me apprecaite how hill-fit I was feeling in 2013.

The day was sunny and we were on top with a whole load of other folk. It's an area of Scotland that though I'm aware of and have visited a few times, I would not say I am entirely familiar with. I found I didn't feel as though I was in the Highlands whatsoever, until those further-ranging hills came into view and my location as put into context.

Long walk out too - nice day.
