New film coming soon

May/June 2025 tour dates to be announced shortly

This upcoming feature-length film centres on the story of Hugh Munro - the man whose name has become synonymous with Scotland’s highest mountains - and the modern-day legacy he left behind. The film follows the emerging scientific culture of Victorian mountain climbing, and its contrast with the crofters and the cottars of the 19thC Highland glens - both inhabiting the same world, yet coming from very different places.

The film includes contributions from Jamie Aarons (Munros record holder), the late Robin Campbell (the authority on Hugh Munro's life), Finlay Wild (record-breaking mountain runner), and Irene Leckie (The Munro Society).

The film also includes a substantial volume of A. E. Robertson's photography (the first person to complete the Munros in 1901). Much of his collection has not previously been seen in film to this degree.
